It weighed there heavy, dark like a cloud,
Rolling about the sky unchained, changing,
Changing me with it. Lament and shame for the toll,
Prices paid, yet no debts accrued. Edge of sanity.
In misery, there is a comfort unlike the happiness,
That is fleeting, Manifestly I wandered into obscurity,
The moon in her brilliance peeked through like lace on skin,
Fingers entwined in hair, thin legs clamored clumsily.
I walked not seeking but knowing where I wandered,
The outcome brusque and bleak. Settling for fears and doubts,
Preparing for the marvelous.
