A certain truth of trauma.

Sometimes being a comforting friend during another’s traumatic experience doesn’t mean shoving sunshine up people’s asses, but being empathetic and understanding the situation for what it is. Sometimes people don’t need to hear how it’s going to get better, because they already know it might with time, but they just need someone to feel miserable with them until the moment passes.
