Your child and food.

I’m not a perfect parent by any means but one thing I’m proud of that I have corrected from my childhood is my children’s eating habits. No they don’t have soda or fast food. Yes, I monitor their sugar intake and most of all their food is cooked fresh and I TRY for organic and locally grown. People often complain that it’s too expensive to do that and while I understand more than most about a budget strain and growing up in less than environments where we didn’t have much money, I do know that cutting out other things you don’t need can foot the bill to provide better food options for your children. Childhood obesity, heart problems, diabetes, and ADD/ADHD is a serious threat. Not only are you doing your child a disservice by feeding them garbage, but being ignorant to the fact and purposely ignoring that you could make improvements in their diet when you know it’s garbage makes you a pretty shitty person in general. We all make mistakes as parents, but you should always try to do the best you can for the next generation.
